2011 Challenge Events: "Mt. Whitney Hike" and Breast Cancer Fund's "Peak Hike 2011"

BAYS members participate in two very special Challenge Events in 2011.
On August 27, 2011, a group of BAYS members – including five with metastatic breast cancer – hiked Mt. Whitney, the highest peak in the continental United States. The climb was a personal challenge for each of the members (and one spouse) and served as a source of inspiration to their friends, family, and fellow BAYS members.
On October 2, 2011, a team of BAYS members, family and friends participated for the second consecutive year in the Breast Cancer Fund’s Peak Hike. The BAYS team hiked the seven-mile route on Mt. Tamalpais and spent the day with others committed to stopping breast cancer before it starts. In the process, the BAYS team raised nearly $14,000 and was the Peak Hike's #3 top fundraising team.
